Project Overview

As a Senior Product Designer and UX Researcher, I conducted a comprehensive UX audit for a Media Intelligence SaaS application aimed at helping media companies monitor and analyze online news and social media content.

The UX audit encompassed various aspects of the application, including information architecture, navigation, content organization, and user interactions. I conducted heuristic evaluations, usability testing sessions, and analyzed user feedback to identify pain points and areas for improvement in the user experience.

Process Followed for UX Audit:

Research: I began by conducting stakeholder interviews to understand the goals and objectives of the SaaS application. This was followed by a review of existing user data and analytics to identify potential pain points and areas of concern.
Heuristic Evaluation: I conducted a thorough heuristic evaluation of the application based on established usability principles and best practices. This involved assessing aspects such as system feedback, error prevention, and user control to uncover usability issues.
Usability Testing: Utilizing remote usability testing platforms, I recruited participants representing the target user demographics and observed their interactions with the application. This provided valuable insights into user behavior, preferences, and pain points.
Analysis & Recommendations: I analyzed the findings from the heuristic evaluation and usability testing sessions to create a detailed report outlining specific UX improvements. These recommendations were prioritized based on their impact on user experience and feasibility of implementation.
Iterative Design: Working closely with the development team, I iterated on the design solutions to address the identified usability issues and improve the overall user experience of the Media Intelligence SaaS application.
