Document 40 volunteers assisting with the completion of Lam Hoa Primary School in Quang Binh Province, Vietnam.
Challenges
As a one-man crew, I had to ensure there were shots of each volunteer solo and in groups. Shooting conditions were not ideal in 100-degree heat and high jungle humidity. Additionally, there was a language barrier with locals and strict video regulations.

Sunflower Mission is a 501(c)3 organization committed to improving the lives of the people in Vietnam, mainly through educational assistance programs. We bring school facilities, teaching and learning materials, and scholarships to teachers and students in Vietnam. In addition, we identify the Vietnamese-American youth leaders of tomorrow, providing them with opportunities for leadership development and nurturing compassion through experience.
