DUAL Passport is a leading platform for insurance producers, offering a comprehensive, online solution to quote, bind, and issue policies. Initially focused on cyber insurance, DUAL Passport expanded its functionality through the integration of Catalytics Risk software, enabling the platform to assess not only cyber risks but also a broad spectrum of other insurance risks, including natural disasters, terrorism, fire hazards, and more.

This integration enabled DUAL Passport to provide advanced risk analytics across various types of insurance, giving producers the tools they need to offer well-rounded and precise policies in real-time. With its user-friendly interface and powerful backend capabilities, DUAL Passport supports insurance professionals in quickly addressing the diverse needs of their clients while ensuring compliance and maintaining high standards of accuracy.

The DUAL Passport platform was designed to simplify and accelerate the quoting, binding, and issuing of insurance policies. By integrating Catalytics Risk software, the platform was able to handle not only cyber risk assessments but also evaluate a wide range of other risks, such as earthquakes, terrorist attacks, and fire hazards. This enhancement made the platform a more robust and versatile tool for insurance producers, allowing them to quickly generate quotes and issue policies for a wide variety of scenarios.

The tech stack used for the project included:

Angular and Nx for frontend development, ensuring a modular and maintainable application structure that supports a smooth user experience.

.NET and C# on the backend to manage business logic, handle data processing, and integrate with external risk assessment tools like Catalytics Risk.

Azure provided cloud infrastructure to support the scalability and security of the platform, ensuring reliable service delivery and data management.

GitHub enabled version control and collaboration across the development team, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality code.

The integration of Catalytics Risk allowed DUAL Passport to provide advanced risk analytics for multiple types of insurance beyond just cyber risk. The platform now evaluates a variety of coverage options, offering users greater flexibility and accuracy when assessing and quoting policies. This integration has positioned DUAL Passport as a versatile solution in the insurance space, offering a seamless, digital experience for producers and allowing them to handle diverse risks with speed and confidence.

MY ROLE

As a Senior Full Stack Developer, I was responsible for integrating Catalytics Risk software into DUAL Passport, a platform that empowers insurance producers to quote, bind, and issue policies online in minutes. This integration not only enhanced the platform's capabilities for cyber insurance but also expanded its coverage to include various other types of risk, such as earthquakes, terrorist attacks, fires, and more.

My focus was on streamlining workflows and improving the efficiency of policy management by incorporating advanced risk analytics. I worked across both the frontend and backend, using technologies such as Angular, Nx, .NET, and C# to ensure the seamless integration of these advanced risk assessment tools. By enhancing the platform’s ability to assess a wide range of risks, I contributed to making the process of issuing policies quicker, more accurate, and more efficient for insurance producers.
