The EMS Billing platform is a cutting-edge solution developed to transform the way emergency medical services (EMS) organizations manage their billing and revenue cycle processes. Designed for EMS Management & Consultants (EMSMC), the platform addresses the complexities of medical billing, providing a streamlined, efficient, and highly accurate system that enhances revenue recovery and compliance for EMS agencies. Built on a modern tech stack, the project leveraged .NET with the Command Query Responsibility Segregation (CQRS) pattern for a robust backend architecture, ensuring scalability and maintainability. It utilized AWS services such as AWS Lambda, AWS SNS, and AWS SQS to handle serverless computing, messaging, and queuing, enabling seamless communication and optimized performance. On the frontend, the platform was developed using Angular, styled with Sass, and incorporated libraries like Mapbox for dynamic mapping capabilities and ng-bootstrap for responsive, user-friendly UI components.

To maintain code quality and ensure high standards, the team employed SonarQube for static code analysis, identifying potential vulnerabilities and enforcing best practices. Tools like Husky for pre-commit hooks and ESLint for linting were also utilized to streamline the development workflow. Version control and collaboration were handled efficiently using GitHub, supporting an organized and agile development process.

This platform not only automates billing workflows and reduces claim errors but also provides actionable insights through powerful analytics tools, offering EMS providers more time to focus on delivering critical care. The EMS Billing platform is a testament to EMSMC's commitment to innovation, showcasing their dedication to equipping EMS agencies with state-of-the-art tools for operational excellence, financial stability, and compliance in the rapidly evolving healthcare landscape. MY ROLE As a Senior Software Developer on the EMS Billing project for EMSMC, I was instrumental in designing and delivering comprehensive full-stack solutions that powered a cutting-edge billing platform. My contributions extended beyond development, as I worked diligently to optimize system performance and enhance the overall user experience, ensuring a seamless and intuitive interface for end-users. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, I fostered a collaborative environment that drove innovation and efficiency.

In addition to my technical contributions, I took an active role in high-level discussions and strategy meetings, including architecture sessions, where I provided insights and recommendations to align technical approaches with the company’s overarching business goals. These engagements allowed me to influence key decisions that shaped the direction of the project and ensured it met both functional and strategic objectives. Through this role, I demonstrated my ability to merge technical expertise with a broader understanding of business needs, delivering solutions that were not only effective but also future-ready.
