Fika Kaffee is more than just a coffee shop ; it embodies the Swedish tradition of fika,
a cultural practice centered around slowing down, connecting, and savoring life’s simple pleasures. Rooted in the idea of taking intentional pauses during the day, fika encourages mindfulness and meaningful social interactions over a cup of coffee or tea, often accompanied by a sweet treat.
The project’s goal was to craft a distinctive brand identity and visual language that resonates with the essence of fika. This involved blending minimalist Scandinavian aesthetics with modern design sensibilities to create a brand that feels warm, inviting, and timeless. By focusing on connection, relaxation, and simplicity, Fika Kaffee aims to provide not just coffee but an experience—a moment to pause, savor, and connect.
Logo Meaning
The Fika Kaffee logo is a visual representation of the Swedish concept of fika, which emphasizes taking intentional pauses to relax, connect, and savor life’s simple pleasures. The design incorporates several key elements.
Pause Symbol: The central pause icon represents the act of slowing down and taking a break, which is the essence of fika. It serves as a reminder to prioritize mindfulness and connection in daily life.
Geometric Shapes: The clean, symmetrical lines reflect Scandinavian minimalism, symbolizing simplicity, balance, and harmony.
