Overview 🔎
I worked as part of the press team where I was able to conduct interviews and promote an event made by black creators for black creators.
Problem & Solution 🤝
The issue was creating publicity for the event, this was solved through content creation and advertising.
Goals/Requirements:
• Create press releases about the event
• Create articles about the event
• Connect and conduct interviews with creators for the event
Process 🛣
In this role, I was given directives by the general manager to help determine what the next move was. I would then either conduct interviews or create the needed content.
Results 🎁
I successfully created a press release that was picked up by FASHION Canada which also created a follow-up piece. Resulting in further publicity for the event.
Takeaways 📣
Building connections and being part of projects that personally align with your values are an added edge to work ethic and quality of work.
