In 2024, I was brought on by an agency-style client to write long-form content for Subbly - a platform that helps entrepreneurs and small businesses build and manage subscription-based websites.
These pieces required deep research and a strong focus on making technical topics feel immediately useful to business owners.
What I did
Reviewed Subbly’s existing content to align tone, structure, and CTA style.
Conducted in-depth research on each topic, including current stats, trends, and use cases.
Outlined each article in Google Docs using structured headings and keyword planning.
Wrote full-length drafts that emphasized clarity, usefulness, and relatable storytelling.
Optimised each piece in Surfer SEO, editing until it scored 80+ without sacrificing flow or tone.
Collaborated through Asana and Google Docs, incorporating team feedback across two revision rounds.
Work Style & Process
The agency I worked through had a polished editorial workflow. I slotted into their process with ease, communicating through Google Docs for content and Asana for task tracking. This allowed us to stay aligned and on schedule throughout the engagement.
