Synopsis:
The Bigfoot is a high-concept sci-fi thriller set in the 1970s Himalayas. Designed as a speculative pitch deck for a fictional TV series, this project explores themes of survival, fear of the unknown, and myth vs. reality through a gritty, vintage lens. I crafted this pitch to feel both cinematic and grounded in a period-specific aesthetic.
Design Concept & Approach:
The aesthetic draws heavily from 1970s survival films, analog horror, and cryptid folklore. My intention was to evoke unease, scale, and a growing sense of claustrophobia. All imagery was generated and composited using MidJourney and Photoshop, with a focus on texture, shadow, and visual tension.
Typography choices reflect both the rugged, grounded nature of the characters and the eerie, offbeat atmosphere of the setting. I paired vintage serif fonts with modern minimal layouts to give the pitch deck a timeless yet cinematic feel.
Creative Process:
•Developed visuals that reflect the escalating tension and isolation of the
narrative.
•Used subdued color palettes and grainy textures to echo the gritty realism of
1970s adventure-horror cinema.
•Character slides were designed to visually hint at internal conflict, secrets, and
emotional depth.
•Integrated cave motifs, cryptic symbols, and shadow-play to foreshadow the
supernatural element without overexposing it.
Rationale:
This project allowed me to explore visual storytelling in a narrative-driven, entertainment context. My aim was to make the pitch feel not only persuasive for producers but emotionally evocative—capturing the spirit of the story while subtly showcasing my design range from concept art to layout finesse.
