AI Parenting & Sleep Coaching Chatbot Development

I built Sleep Play Love, an AI-powered parenting and sleep coaching application based on Sophie Acott’s bestselling book How to Love and Play Your Way to Better Sleep. The platform transforms the book into an interactive digital assistant, allowing parents to receive personalized guidance through a conversational AI experience.

The core idea was to turn static book content into a living, interactive coaching system. Instead of reading advice passively, parents can now engage with an AI chatbot that understands the full context of the book and responds with tailored sleep and parenting support.

The system was designed to feel like a 24/7 digital sleep consultant, grounded in the author’s methodology while still adapting to individual user situations.

I integrated the GPT API directly into a FlutterFlow application and structured the model behavior around the book content.

Key implementation approach:

Ingested structured book content into GPT context for domain grounding

Designed prompt architecture to ensure responses stayed aligned with the author’s gentle, non-cry-it-out philosophy

Built a conversational UI inside FlutterFlow for seamless chat interaction

Ensured consistency in tone, maintaining a calm, supportive, expert-like voice

The result was an AI assistant that behaves like a trained sleep consultant based specifically on the book’s methodology.

The platform was built as a subscription-based product, not just a chatbot.

Users access the AI through a monthly subscription paywall

Payments were tied into RevenueCat with automated tracking

Subscription status directly controlled access to the chatbot experience

Designed for scalable recurring revenue aligned with coaching-style digital products

This created a clear product funnel from: Book → Trust → Subscription → Ongoing AI coaching

The app experience was intentionally designed to feel supportive and calm, especially for stressed parents:

Simple chat-first interface for low cognitive load usage

Frictionless onboarding into subscription and chat access

Focus on trust-building before monetization prompts

The final product is a book-powered AI coaching platform that extends the author’s expertise into an always-available digital assistant. It bridges the gap between educational content and real-time support, giving parents personalized sleep and parenting guidance on demand.
