Multi platform virtual "tabletop" game

We created a game that players would play on their phones and the game board would be shown on a TV.

On a TV you would create a new session which would show a QR code that people could join with their phones. The game was entirely web powered so no installation was required. It used web sockets to sync game states across devices and the backend held the central game state for each game session.

The game itself was a simple social adventure where players would hop between islands running away from a looming calamity. On each island they would encounter events in which each player made a choice on how to solve it and get rewarded/punished for it. The game encouraged cooperation but there were also many cheeky ways to mess with each other.
