Translation microservice suite

I was tasked with creating a suite of services to replace the existing parts of the Translation project creation pipeline.

It was imperative that the individual services would be able to scale individually as they were also offered as SaaS products, so a Microservice based architecture made sense. The individual services were accessible through an API gateway, but some smaller parts also communicated directly between each other.

I was involved in the creation of the OCR, Text extraction and Translation memory services, of which descriptions you can see in the picture above. Some of these were developed in-house, but some were just open source CLI tools whose functionality was exposed through a Restful API.
