Checkable is changing healthcare by developing fast and accurate at-home diagnostic test kits paired with Telehealth services.

My Role:

As the Lead Product Designer, I closely collaborate with the product team and engineers to ensure high-quality and quick implementation. I began my journey at Checkable Medical by refreshing the company's branding and redesigning product packaging. Since then, my focus has been on web design, and designing the mobile application experience. I have helped design core experiences for all the fundamental features in the current mobile application and have also revamped the website + physical products to align seamlessly with the mobile experience.

Background

Through at-home tests and wellness products, Checkable believes that individuals should be able to take care of their health from the comfort of their homes. Checkable understands the limited options in healthcare, which is why they strive to provide people with products anyone can use. To accomplish this, we have been focused on the following:

Time-saving convenience: By offering at-home solutions, Checkable helps individuals avoid unnecessary visits to the doctor's office, saving valuable time and effort.

Comprehensive diagnostics and wellness tools: Providing a wide range of diagnostics and wellness tools + resources that enable individuals to monitor their health effectively and make informed decisions.

Expert guidance for increased confidence: The mobile app offers expert advice and information, ensuring that individuals have access to reliable resources that can boost their confidence in managing their health effectively.

Checkable believes in empowering individuals to take control of their health to create a more informed and educated lifestyle.

Brand Refresh & Package design

For Checkable's brand refresh, I started by conducting thorough research to understand the company's values, target audience, and market positioning. From there, I developed a brand strategy that focuses on elevating their current brand guidelines and creating visual elements that align with the company's vision and resonate with its target audience.

Additionally, I collaborated with the company's stakeholders to ensure the rebranding efforts effectively communicate the company's new direction and values, resulting in a fresh and cohesive brand identity that stands out and generates success.

With updated brand guidelines, I was able to easily redesign the product packaging for supplements and test kits. I updated color combinations, contrast, pattern and enlarged the font to make information more readable.

Website Redesign

For Checkable Medical's website redesign, I started with low-fidelity wireframes for the website's structure and layout. Progressing to high-fidelity wireframes, I focused on visual elements, typography, and color schemes to elevate the company rebranding. Throughout the process, usability testing and user feedback informed how improvements should be made.

As a result, the website experienced a 38% increase in subscribers, a 12% boost in average order value (AOV), and a 28% rise in average monthly visits. Additionally, the website's return customer rate improved by 22%, and the average customer lifetime value (CLV) increased by 14%. These statistics highlight the significant impact of the redesign on Checkable's growth, customer engagement, and overall success.

Mobile Application

I collaborated closely with the product team and engineers to design Checkable's initial MVP app and continually enhance its current state. My focus was on creating a seamless and user-friendly interface, enabling users to conduct easy-to-administer tests, receive accurate results, connect with doctors, and obtain prescriptions quickly. Through prioritizing intuitive design, individuals can receive prompt treatment, diagnoses, and medications within minutes. Here are the main features:

Guided At-Home Tests: Checkable's easy-to-use at-home tests provide fast and accurate results. Paired with the Telehealth platform, you can connect with healthcare professionals instantly, receiving the necessary treatment without judgment or discomfort.

Integrated Shopping and Telehealth Experience: In just two taps you can purchase, subscribe, restock, and order your favorite supplements and test kits directly from the app. The Telehealth platform directly connects you to healthcare providers so you can get the treatment you need fast and on your own schedule.

It doesn’t compare. It is very unique. I have yet to encounter an app with similar features and such an informative health platform.
