A web friendly and mobile self-care companion game that creates gamified self-care challenges to encourage people to improve their lifestyles and productivity with a like-minded community.
In HI.LO, challenges are real-life activities that are incentivized with rewards and points using a therapeutic technique called behavioral activation.

I created HI.LO as a personal project for my friends and family who were mentally struggling during the pandemic. As a solo project, I have broken down my scope of work and timeline below.

Project Goals
Educate & Build Confidence
Create an educational tool to help people learn about the value of self-care and to experience how little a day goes a long way. Aim to build confidence in a fun and noninvasive way.
Community & Resources
Make sure people feel supported, rewarded, and not alone in their self-improvement journey and gain access to numerous of resources.
Gamification
Include a gamification element that will help support consistency and completions of challenges. Ensuring that challenges are fun and rewarding.
Problem
In recent years, remote work and online education have become more common all around the world due to the pandemic. Therefore, greatly impacting people’s daily routines, interactions, mental and physical health.
This has led to the negligence of basic daily self-care as people are experiencing increased burnout, staying indoors, limiting social and physical activities.
Research
Before creating HI.LO, it was important to learn more about the market, who our users are, what they need, and their current pain points.
