Visual Identity for TheMissC

TheMissC is a physical fashion archive dedicated to preserving and celebrating the history of clothing and fashion culture. It houses two distinct collections: a curated selection of haute couture garments and an extensive library of over 2500 fashion magazines, each catalogued and accessible through dedicated sections.
The visual identity is built around a flexible logo system, wordmark, condensed versions, and a standalone symbol. A defining element of the project is the C in TheMissC: its interior counter is transformed into a frame, a distinctive visual device that lends itself to endless applications across editorial campaigns, physical touchpoints, and the brand pattern.
The pattern system, derived directly from this symbol, becomes a generative and modular visual language, so versatile that a custom web app was developed to let users explore and configure it in real time, adjusting grid, colors, and embedded photography.
A vibrant color palette, named after female archetypes (Rebecca, Bubblegum, Ciclomino, Lacca, Camelioska, Manifesto), brings emotional depth to the brand.
Typography balances editorial precision with expressive boldness, while the identity extends across a full set of touchpoints: brand guidelines, stationery, packaging, hang tags, social media templates, outdoor advertising, and a fully designed website.
To make TheMissC's visual system a living, accessible tool, a custom web app was developed using Lovable, an experiment exploring the possibilities of new AI-assisted development tools. The app allows users to explore and configure the brand pattern in real time: adjusting the grid, changing colors, switching to monochrome mode, and embedding photographs directly into the composition, generating unique, exportable layouts.
