This project was for a government run physics institute in Shanghai, China. It was an interesting project for an interesting machine which took up the size of a football field - and was designed to take X-rays at the molecular level. The amount of data coming into the database was at a "nanosecond" level as opposed to "millisecond" or plain "second" which we're more accustomed to.
The project was to use very specific tools to gather data and create reports. We used Python to access the database and GWT (Google Web Toolkit) to create the interface with dynamic charts and graphs to help scientists analyze the data.
The project was a success. I was offered a job but declined for personal reasons.
