Project Overview
PRETTYGREAT, a digital marketing and design studio, initially built their website using a Framer template but needed advanced features to better showcase their case studies, projects, and services. Founder Ally Fekaiki faced challenges with dynamic filtering, CMS structure, and user experience—so he reached out to me for technical Framer expertise.
The Challenge
The existing site lacked filtering and categorization for projects, had broken conditional CMS visibility, and needed a better way to showcase services dynamically. Additionally, a custom pop-up for email capture had to be implemented with logic to display only on the first visit. Ally also wanted a more structured, maintainable CMS that wouldn’t require complex coding.
Design & Development
The project focused on refining Framer’s CMS and interaction design, introducing:
Standout Features
Dynamic Multi-View Case Study Pages – Users can toggle between list view and card view, with a hover effect revealing case study thumbnails.
Category-Based CMS Filtering – Implemented conditional filters for branding, web development, app development, etc., without custom code.
Interactive Services Section – Hovering over a service dynamically cycles through case study previews in that category.
Custom Pop-Up Logic – Integrated a first-time visitor email pop-up using Framer’s custom component system.
CMS-Based Blog Refinement – Optimized which news articles appeared, prioritizing the most relevant ones for PRETTYGREAT’s audience.
Results & Impact
The updated site now features an improved user experience, making project browsing, filtering, and case study discovery intuitive. The improved CMS logic reduces manual updates, ensuring scalability. Ally was thrilled with the enhancements and left rave reviews across multiple platforms.
