PROTECT BLACK CREATIVES.
FRUITION NYC is a collective of creatives in fashion, film, and publishing, dedicated to inspiring with messages like “Dreaming Is Planning” and “Your Struggle Is Your Power".
I collaborated with the team to define goals, target the audience, and plan the project. The goal was to expand their audience and support equal values for the black creative community.
Working with Raishawn Washington, the owner of FRUITION NYC, we created a design that appeals to black communities and matches higher product prices. I used a brown monochromatic palette to emphasize the product’s unique features and maintain the brand's aesthetic.
I’ve had the opportunity to create multiple apparel designs for FRUITION NYC. I developed this particular design by infusing my own personal view and experiences of being a black creative, along with being inspired by 80’s techno & 90’s television by creating a piece that emulated those elements. The back maintained a clean scientific, playful styling.
