Makala Trezise's UX/UI Portfolio

The Project

In 2023, I revamped my existing portfolio to create a cleaner, more succinct experience for potential employers. And to highlight some new works of course!

I focused on creating a minimalistic portfolio that lent focus to the case study imagery and key headlines to give users a quick snapshot about who I am and what I do. I'm also an advocate for the little details so I sprinkled in some micro-interactions such as page transitions, a custom cursor, hover effects, and an interactive 'additional work' section.

I restructured my case studies to create a succinct timeline of what was achieved through a challenge vs solution layout. I implement key headings to describe the overarching statement for each section, and went into further detail in my paragraphs should the user want to read further.

Again, I largely focused on imagery/video to supplement the text. Generally, I opted to use videos to highlight the animations that were included within the live site, and to demonstrate my prototyping ability.

Overall, large and bold imagery was used to draw in users attention, plentiful white space was implemented to emphasis my work, and a combination of attention grabbing headings were used to provide a short and snappy snapshot of me and the works I've created.
