Project summary

Designing the new logo, visual identity and the entire web presence for the blog-turned-news portal Mérce.hu was the most rewarding task I have had in recent years.

When designing the logo and visual motifs, we wanted to focus on equality and guidance — further developing the concept of the original logo, which we wanted to expand in meaning and simplify in form for a compact result. The beam of light motif, used as a secondary design element is intended to reinforce this message.

The main consideration for the web design was to create a layout that was easy to read and user-friendly, — creating a look and feel that would differentiate the site from the competition, while maintaining a traditional news portal layout.
