Folklore is an ANZ venture capital firm that publishes the Cut Through report — industry research distributed to LPs, founders, and the broader ecosystem. They engaged Refract to design the report to match the quality of Folklore's investment thesis.

The problem
Cut Through is one of Folklore's most visible public outputs, distributed to LPs, portfolio founders, and the ANZ startup ecosystem. Design inconsistencies and rushed production in previous editions undermined the authority the content deserved.
The report needed to feel sharp, considered, and credible — matching the quality of Folklore's thinking and reinforcing their position in the market.

We designed the report from cover to close: cover page, section dividers, branded slide layouts, and custom graphic assets — holding both the Folklore and Cut Through visual identities throughout, delivered polished and ready for distribution.
