Overview 🔎

This project was a campaign called #UnlockYourSwag - a campaign to introduce 30 AR lenses made by Moj and their partnership with Snapchat - and for two years thereafter, Moj produced over 800 lenses for Snapchat.

Brief ✍️

To create a promotional video to introduce the new Lenses features added to the Moj app in partnership with Snapchat under the campaign #UnlockYourSwag with Moj lenses. The idea was to showcase the variety of the first batch of lenses created by the Moj Lens team.

Goals/Requirements: • To create a buzz around the new Lens feature. • To gain traction on social media. • Increase the number of downloads and users. • Generate press coverage and PR





Process 🛣

First, we picked out a few lenses from the whole set which was launched as part of the new feature. The most attractive and engaging lenses were shortlisted to be part of the video - the idea here was to showcase the best of the set to generate excitement.

We gathered multiple influencer videos that used these lenses and created a fun and exciting visual montage, backed with a catchy soundtrack.

ShareChat's Moj became the first Indian company to partner with Snap for Snapchat camera. Snapchat exclusively chose Moj to launch its camera kit in India. The promotional video created went viral throughout the country, creating immense traction and bringing new users to the app. The video already generated a lot of press coverage from leading news sources in the country like Business Insider, Indian Express, Hindustan Times, Times of India, and so on.

The promotional video and campaign lead to an increase in user signups of up to 26% on the app.







True to their name, Moj lenses unlock a lot of Moj and masti for our users. We got them to try out our latest lenses with this video comprised of illustrations and motion graphic transitions.







As part of the partnership with Snapchat, Moj's goal was to create around 400 lenses in various phases for its community. However, the goal was far surpassed - as of today, Moj has created over 700 lenses in partnership with Snapchat.

The 766 lenses now available on Moj saw over 130 million videos created in 2022, accounting for 18% of all videos made.
