The "Wellbeing in York" project was initiated to support the Wellbeing in York CIC, an integrative healthcare provider established in 2019. The organization, led by June Tranmer, offers a diverse range of services, including individual healthcare sessions, self-care workshops, and an outreach program delivering workplace wellness services. Our task was to enhance their engagement with the student population at York University and improve outreach to local businesses.
Project Outline
My team at York Community Consulting (YCC) was hired to conduct comprehensive market research, identify effective marketing strategies, and create a presentation to promote Wellbeing in York’s services. Key tasks included:
Understanding the receptivity of students to self-care techniques.
Encouraging student participation in Wellbeing in York’s programs.
Identifying interested customer segments.
Assessing and optimizing pricing for outreach services.
Enhancing social media outreach.
Successes of the Wellbeing in York Project
Under my leadership, the student consultancy team achieved significant results:
Community Engagement: We conducted extensive primary research to understand community views on the Cemetery's role, providing valuable insights for targeted engagement strategies.
Student Engagement: By segmenting the under-40 market, we developed a tailored approach to attract young families, working professionals, and students. This included a new time slot specifically for students, resulting in a 30% revenue increase.
Grant Identification: We identified viable grants for the Cemetery and formulated effective application strategies.
Social Media Strategy: Our recommendations led to the organisation of social media platforms, significantly improving their outreach and engagement.
The comprehensive strategy and detailed presentation we delivered enabled Wellbeing in York to enhance its services and expand its reach within the community, demonstrating the tangible impact of our consultancy work.
