SUSTAINABLE BUILDING DESIGN

Ox Building Design specialises in sustainability and building physics. Through advanced energy modelling, they ensure that buildings prioritise environmental responsibility alongside optimal comfort for occupants.

My goal with redesigning Ox Building Design’s brand identity was to capture the modern visual aesthetic of sustainable architecture whilst standing out from other competitors in the industry. Stripping everything back, i crafted a dynamic and bold monogram as well as developing a visually striking and responsive website in Webflow.

Using Webflow, my goal was to create a minimal and clean website, using neutral colours with an easy to navigate user experience.

Stripping everything back and working with the team at Ox, we reduced the pages down to a simple 4 page website, focusing on the home page with key industry and expertise on animated stacking cards which respond to scrolling and navigating the page, an about us page, services page and finally a simple contact page.

Given the complex nature of the services offered, which are very niche industry terms, I had to overcome the challenge of taking a lot of very busy, detailed and industry terminology, and ensure that the clean and simple wasn't compromised and allowed for a positive user experience.

To achieve this, each service such as heating and cooling calculations, renewable energy feasibility, passivhaus design and thermal bridge calculations were built within expandable accordions which when clicked, reveals and hides the relevant content.

Given that the target customers are generally architects looking for specific services, which was felt to be the best way for a professional looking for a key service to quickly find the service they require without scrolling through too much text, and potentially risking drop offs.
