The problem
A WooCommerce shop's cart took 11.2 seconds to reach LCP on mobile. The audit found two cart systems loading at once, alongside scripts that had no place on checkout pages.
What I did
Audited the mobile experience with PageSpeed Insights
Replaced the block cart and checkout with leaner classic flows
Reduced cart scripts from 108 to 31
Added page-level script loading rules so new plugins don't load everywhere
Result
Cart LCP: 11.2s → 2.2s
Cart PageSpeed score: 59 → 91
Checkout LCP: 12.8s → 3.4s
A 4-week check measured the cart at 2.8s
Measurements: PageSpeed Insights, mobile, cold load. Before: 2026-07-25. After: the same evening.
