A UX/UI experience that makes sustainability tangible and engaging problem

Banking apps usually show numbers, not meaning. For Green Nation, the challenge was making users understand the carbon impact of their spending in a way that feels immediate, motivating, and clear. The previous UX/UI didn’t connect the financial actions to environmental outcomes, leaving the experience flat and abstract.

solution

We redesigned the app interface to visualize each transaction’s carbon footprint instantly. Bold, colorful metrics, interactive charts, and intuitive flows make environmental impact tangible. Beyond the app, we extended the visual language to social media assets and monthly newsletters, creating a cohesive, motivating brand experience across all touchpoints.
We introduced a structured system of:
Transaction-level carbon visualization (instant feedback per purchase)
Data-driven UI components (charts and breakdowns designed for clarity, not complexity)
A refreshed visual language using color and hierarchy to make sustainability metrics readable at a glance

Beyond the product interface, we extended the system into supporting touchpoints such as social content and monthly newsletters, ensuring consistency in how impact and progress are communicated across channels.
