SMO Live: From Concert-Like Energy to a Structured Product Experience

SMO is a mobile and tablet app concept designed around livestreams, artist communities, memberships, fan interaction, and digital events. The project brought together discovery, live viewing, channel management, and monetization into one connected product experience for both fans and creators.

This project was born during Covid, when virtual concerts became a new way for fans to stay connected to their favorite artists.

The goal was to recreate the feeling of a live event on mobile—giving people a way to watch performances, interact in real time, use digital lightsticks and gifts, and share the experience with other fans around the world. Instead of making livestreaming feel passive, the app was designed to feel communal, energetic, and emotionally connected.
On the fan side, the experience focused on easy discovery and deeper engagement. Users can browse artists, join livestreams, explore upcoming events, follow channels, and access memberships through a product structure that feels clear and immersive rather than overloaded.

We wanted the app to feel like more than a stream—it needed to feel like being there together.

For creators, the platform includes tools for channel setup, livestream creation, membership plans, roles, and performance insights. These features were designed to stay simple and manageable on mobile, helping creators run and grow their communities without needing a more complex desktop workflow.
The visual direction supports that idea with a dark, concert-inspired interface, bold highlights, and media-first layouts that make performances and fan activity feel central to the experience.

SMO connects entertainment, fandom, and creator tools in one scalable mobile product.

Overall, the concept turns virtual concerts into a broader fan ecosystem—where people can discover artists, join live moments, support creators, and feel part of a shared community even when they are watching from different parts of the world.
