Personal Project: My wife and I share household expenses without sharing a bank account. For years, we spent an hour each week recording and going over expenses in an excel sheet, writing excel formula to do basic things like "spend by category". I built a tool that shows our expenses using apis and csv uploads from our banks - it categorises them and splits every transaction based on a lot of trained data. We save hours each month not recording expenses/earnings. We understand where our money is going each month and how much we need to save for future expenses. But saving time isn't enough.
