The idea of creating a positive textile brand is not a utopia. It is a personal project in which we believe a clothing brand can have:
1. Top quality;
2. Sustainability;
3. High profitability.
At this stage, the team is still down to just one member.
The success of this project depends on the recruitment of co-founders, who will perform critical tasks.
Facts:
Clothing is a fierce and volatile business. It is often a fugacious industry, very dependent on financing.
The clothing brands industry has a lot of skeletons in its cupboard:
1. It consumes high natural resources, mainly water;
2. It is very polluting;
3. Most best-sellers and major retailers exploit labor and use child labor in underdeveloped countries.
Our point of view:
Value for money is generally out of line if we focus on the best-selling brands:
1. Raw materials are often mediocre;
2. The design doesn't feature innovations or does not exist at all;
3. Best-sellers do not understand the consumer journey and don't provide buying experience.
Solution:
The Westland Concept presents solutions focused on the consumer who seeks quality at a fair price.
We also aim to meet environmentally and ethically aware people.
The Westland Concept will use only the best organic knitwear. The design will be in charge of new talents, and innovation will be omnipresent. TWC will only contract factories that respect labor laws and human rights.
The brand is being designed to adapt to new forms of distribution and allows future upgrades.
State of Play:
This project has already identified concrete solutions like design, raw materials, and manufacturing. TWC will put these features into practice.
We identify gaps in IT management and marketing fields, such as digital presence and acquisition of influential partners.
