Coast Club Visual Identity

Coast Club is a California-inspired surf brand rooted in sun, sea, and community. The visual identity captures the carefree, sun-drenched spirit of coastal life, nostalgic yet modern, with warm, sun-washed tones and textured, lived-in graphics that feel authentic to surf culture.

The Challenge Create a relaxed yet intentional brand identity that feels instantly recognizable, community-driven, and adaptable across physical and environmental touchpointswithout leaning into cliché surf visuals.

The Concept The identity centers around the shaka hand gesture paired with radiant sunbeams, symbolizing connection, good energy, and the warmth of coastal life. This motif became the foundation for a flexible visual system that balances optimism, nostalgia, and modern simplicity.

The Process I began by using Lovart AI to explore early stylistic directions, textures, and moodtesting tone, atmosphere, and visual language before committing to a final direction. Once the aesthetic foundation was defined, I translated the concept into Adobe Illustrator, developing a cohesive logo system including a primary mark, secondary logo, and supporting submarks.

Lovart played a key role during the exploratory phase, helping shape the overall visual language, while Illustrator was used to refine and finalize the logo suite with precision and consistency.

The Outcome With the identity complete, I expanded the Coast Club world through immersive branded mockups, applying the system across surfboards, apparel, signage, and environmental scenes. Mockups were generated using Lovart and refined in Photoshop to create polished, real-world applications that demonstrate how the brand lives within coastal environments and connects with its community.

The result is a cohesive, expressive brand concept that captures the warmth, optimism, and laid-back energy of California surf culture—showcasing how AI-assisted exploration can seamlessly support both creative direction and final brand execution.
