Nelo-techie is a tech influencer that helps people transition into tech.
In this project, I developed and executed a three-month email marketing campaign designed to make sales for Nelo-techie's data analytics course. Audience demographic:
- Age: 18-35
- Occupation: Fresh graduates, people transitioning into tech, and businesses that can use data analytics to make better decisions.
Email marketing strategy:
- Drove leads to the mailing list using lead magnets (e.g., forms, webinars, and cheat sheets)
- Nurtured the leads.
- Sold passively before actively selling with a good offer.
Execution steps:
- Created lead magnets.
- Created a three-month email marketing calendar, with a focus on nurturing leads before pitching sales.

Email content strategy:
- Incorporated storytelling
- Provided value
- Built relationships and trust
- Incorporated questions and activities into the emails to stimulate conversations.

Reflection:
Problems encountered:
* Low to no response to emails sent
* Few sales
* Course payment issues
How I overcame them:
* To tackle the low response, I incorporated questions, games, and activities to stimulate conversations.
* To increase sales, I gave a free module of the course to enable prospects to see value in the course and influence their purchase decision and offered a 1:1 consultation with a closer. This made them feel important and led to increased sales.
* To address course payment issues, I offered a payment plan options.
Lesson learned:
* Questions or activities should always be incorporated to help stimulate conversations.
* There should always be an extra incentive to help influence purchasing decisions.
