The client is a data science and AI startup that helps pharma & healthcare organizations build a data mesh platform so that they can productize their data. 

The startup needed a product design concept for a new product line to help them secure funding.

I joined as a Lead Designer to help design their product concept.

The challenge was to distill complex data science/machine learning specialist workflows into an elegant product within a month.

I took a collaborative, iterative approach to designing this complex product concept.

I worked closely with the Chief Technologist to create a product brief that would align with our vision for the product. We needed to make sure we were on the same page regarding the goals and target users before diving deeper.

Next, I mapped out comprehensive user journeys for each persona to visualize the complete end-to-end experience we wanted to create. The journeys traced each user from initial awareness through onboarding, regular usage, and beyond.

I then transformed those user journeys into wireframes that laid out the specific UI flows screen by screen. The wireframes put skeleton architecture around the user paths.

Throughout the process, I frequently met with the Chief Technologist to review the latest artifacts and refine the direction based on their feedback until we landed on an approach we felt confident about.

The outcome was a design direction shaped by close stakeholder collaboration and grounded in mapped user needs. This built confidence in the concept and ensured alignment.

As a result, we finished designing the product concept on schedule, allowing the startup to begin using it for their investor pitches.
