Ghetto Apparel Brand Development

Ghetto Africa is an African street style brand created by Swangz Avenue, an audio and and film production house in Uganda that is more lined with music production, artist management and promotion. Together we developed this brand to create the most fashionable yet affordable street style pieces to African youth to promote African culture incorporated with western style while also promoting African based brands.
The Spark ✨
The goal of the client was to get this idea he had for a long time and implement it and decided to hire a Project Manager Lead to take on this project since he didn't have the time to oversee every little detail. I was chosen for this project due to my demonstrated organisational skills, ability to come up with creative and diverse solutions to problems and communication skills. Throughout a period of a year we were able to contact a number of manufacturers, come up with product lists and samples, launch a two collections with a range of three products, strategically promote the brand by utilising musicians managed by the company and make 80% of initial sales after launch of both collections.

Deliverables
• Design Direction and Conception
Keeping the clients vision in mind i identified different apparel to be manufactured and aided in the creation of designs that spoke to the nature of the brand
• Social Media Management
Planning and execution of all communications and media actions on all channels both online and social media. Setting up social media accounts and creating relationships potential relevant influencers in the industry.
• Product Development
Sourcing and managing relationships with manufacturers suppliers and vendors. Pricing of products and planning product launches as well as new business opportunities.
• Budget Management and Conception
Creating monthly budgets for product development advertisement and promotional items for approval by the client while keeping in mind the overall project budget.
