Finance B2B Landing & SaaS Pitch Deck

Olga OKAD

In today's highly competitive market, how you present your product can be the deciding factor between landing your next client or getting lost in the noise. It's no longer just about having a great product — it's about how clearly you communicate its value and how easy you make it for potential investors and customers to understand.

In this case study, we'll explore how Trusto, a chargeback prevention startup, successfully packaged their complex service into a sleek and compelling format that resonated with both investors and clients. If you don't master this step, you're setting yourself up to fail, buried under missed opportunities and skepticism.

Redesigning the Pitch Deck: Telling a Clear Story

The first step in our partnership with Trusto was to tackle their pitch deck. The pitch deck is often the first point of contact with investors, making it crucial to present the product in a way that’s visually appealing and easy to digest.

Logical Structure

We restructured the presentation to tell a cohesive story, taking investors through the journey from the problem of chargebacks to the solution Trusto offers. Each slide was carefully crafted to address potential questions investors might have, with clear, concise messaging.

Data Visualization

We understood the importance of data to investors, so we focused on visualizing key numbers and statistics that showed Trusto’s potential impact. Using charts, graphs, and infographics, we highlighted the business savings and the reduction in chargebacks that Trusto’s platform offers.

Typography and Color Choices

To establish credibility and trust, we selected fonts with high contrast and a color palette of deep blues and light shades. This combination created a sense of professionalism, technology, and reliability.

Custom Visuals

Rather than relying on stock images, we designed unique icons and process diagrams to explain how Trusto works. These custom visuals helped simplify complex concepts, making them more accessible to investors and other stakeholders.

Result

The pitch deck became a powerful tool for Trusto, not only informing potential investors but also persuading them of the product’s value.

Building the Website: From Concept to Clarity

After successfully revamping the pitch deck, we turned our attention to Trusto’s website — the public face of the company. The goal was to ensure that the website was as clear and engaging as the pitch deck, providing potential clients with an intuitive and informative experience.

Clear Structure

We designed the homepage to immediately answer the three most important questions: What is Trusto? How does it work? What’s in it for the user? With a concise value proposition on the main screen and visualized key benefits below, we made sure visitors knew exactly what Trusto offered in just a few seconds.

Simplified Illustrations and Diagrams

To explain how Trusto’s platform works, we broke down the process into simple, easy-to-understand diagrams. We used a step-by-step approach to guide users through the chargeback prevention journey. Even non-technical visitors could easily grasp how Trusto could benefit their business.

Micro-Animations

To make the website more dynamic and engaging, we added micro-animations throughout the site. For example, in the “How It Works” section, we used animations to showcase the prevention of chargebacks, making the site feel more interactive and alive.

Minimalist Design

In keeping with Trusto’s brand, we chose a minimalist design approach. We focused on making the content the star of the show, with subtle gradients and small accents to enhance the site’s technological feel.

Result

The website became a valuable asset for Trusto, clearly conveying the platform’s benefits while engaging visitors with its modern design. The intuitive navigation and clear content made it easy for potential clients to understand what Trusto could offer, increasing the likelihood of conversion.

Building Trust: Establishing Credibility Through Transparency

At the time of development, Trusto didn’t have real case studies or customer reviews to showcase, so we focused on building trust in other ways.

Transparency

We created sections on the website that explained Trusto’s features and benefits in detail. We also included data comparisons to competitors, emphasizing Trusto’s unique advantages.

Competitor Comparison

Through clear visualizations and text, we showcased how Trusto stood out from the competition, further building trust with potential clients by emphasizing the platform’s unique value proposition.

Minimalist Yet Warm Style

The design was professional and tech-focused, but we ensured it didn’t feel too cold or distant. A minimalist, yet inviting style helped make Trusto seem approachable while still maintaining a sense of expertise.

Testing for Perfection

We tested several iterations of the homepage to find the best balance between messaging, value propositions, and visual focus. This iterative process helped us create a page that maximized clarity while drawing in users.

Result: A Compelling Brand Identity

Through our collaboration with Trusto, we were able to create a clear, persuasive narrative that helped them communicate their complex product effectively to both investors and potential clients.
The pitch deck and website were more than just design solutions — they became essential tools for Trusto to establish their credibility in a competitive market. With clear messaging, strong visuals, and a minimalist design, Trusto was able to confidently attract both investors and clients, helping them establish a strong foothold in the chargeback prevention industry.

Key Takeaways

Understanding your audience: A key factor in this project’s success was our deep understanding of the target audience. By having team members familiar with the alumni group, we were able to design a product that was truly relevant and resonated with the community.
Creative flexibility: The ability to adapt to the client’s needs and provide multiple concepts helped to jumpstart the creative process and saved valuable time in the project.
Importance of simplicity: The selected concept’s simplicity and ease of production were crucial to the project’s success. A minimalist approach that still captured the essence of the community was the perfect solution.
