Executive Summary:
This report summarizes the feedback collected on the visual identity and branding components of the Abhigyan Lecture Series at IIITDM Jabalpur. The aim is to evaluate the effectiveness of the current branding elements in engaging the target audience and to provide actionable recommendations based on the findings. Our analysis is derived from surveys, feedback forms, and digital engagement metrics.
Introduction:
As the Design Lead for Brand and Identity Design, my role encompasses developing a cohesive visual strategy that aligns with the intellectual ethos of the Abhigyan Lecture Series. The purpose of this report is to assess how well the visual identity resonates with our audience and to identify areas for improvement to enhance overall engagement and participation.
Methodology:
Data Collection: Feedback was gathered via online surveys distributed to lecture attendees post-event, direct feedback forms during the events, and through analysis of engagement metrics on our website and social media platforms.
Participants:
The survey included responses from 150 participants comprising students, faculty, and external visitors.
Key Findings:
-Visual Appeal:
-85% of respondents rated the visual appeal of the branding materials as "very good" or "excellent."
-Positive feedback highlighted the modern and professional look of our materials which align well with the academic nature of the series.
-Brand Consistency:
Consistency across different platforms and materials was noted as strong, though some noted occasional discrepancies in color schemes during different series events.
-Engagement:
-Engagement metrics from social media showed a 20% increase in interactions following the introduction of new graphic designs.
-Website traffic analysis indicated a 15% growth in visits during the announcement and commencement of the series, with visitors spending an average of 30% more time on the site.
-Accessibility:
Feedback suggests the need for improvements in the accessibility of design materials for individuals with visual impairments.
Recommendations:
Enhance Visual Consistency:
-Implement stricter guidelines to ensure color and typography consistency across all event-specific materials to avoid any visual discrepancies.
-Improve Accessibility:
-Update graphic designs to include better contrast and larger fonts to aid those with visual impairments.
-Consider incorporating alternative text for all images on digital platforms to enhance accessibility.
Increase Engagement Through Iterative Design:
-Continue to update and refresh design elements seasonally to maintain interest and engagement among the audience.
-Employ A/B testing for select promotional materials to determine the most effective designs for future campaigns.
Conclusion:
The feedback indicates a positive reception to the visual branding of the Abhigyan Lecture Series, with tangible increases in engagement and participation. Continued attention to detail and responsiveness to feedback will be crucial as we move forward, ensuring the brand remains dynamic and reflective of both our academic standards and our diverse audience's needs.
