Introduction

New Age International Builders & Developers is a construction company based in Kenya that provides quality and affordable construction services to help Kenyans achieve homeownership. The company faced several challenges with their previous website, including difficulty updating and managing it, impressing prospects and customers, and enabling direct communication with their customers. My goal was to design and develop a new website that would be easy for the client to manage and update, showcase their past projects and accomplishments, and improve communication with their customers.

Problem Statement

The previous website of New Age International Builders & Developers no longer met the company's needs, making it difficult for them to update and manage it. Additionally, the website did not showcase the company's accomplishments and past projects effectively, resulting in difficulties in impressing prospects and customers. The client needed a new website that would provide a simple, effective way to request services and enable direct communication with customers.

Research and Discovery

To better understand the client's needs and objectives, I conducted extensive research into their target audience, business, and competition. I analyzed competitors' websites and reviewed user feedback to better understand the user experience of construction companies' websites. This research helped me understand how to design and develop a site that would stand out and meet the client's needs.

Approach to design

To improve the user experience, I designed a new custom website for New Age International Builders & Developers. I created a modern, clean, and user-friendly design that showcases the client's accomplishments and past projects effectively. I also included a simple form on the website to make it easier for customers to request services directly.

Development and Implementation

I built the new website on WordPress CMS, which makes it easier for the client to manage and update the site in the future. I used Elementor Page Builder to design and develop the website, which enabled me to create a custom design tailored to the client's needs. Additionally, I implemented various optimization techniques to ensure that the website loads quickly and is easily accessible to all users.

Results

The new website has improved the communication of the client's value proposition, making it easier to convert potential clients into actual clients. The simple design has enabled customers to navigate the site easily and make requests, and the use of WordPress CMS has made it easy for the client to update the site on their own. The client has received positive feedback from customers and prospects about the new website.
