I have managed three large events as an event planner. One of them was a Ph.D. Graduation Celebration that had a total of 250 attendees coming from different parts of the globe. On the day of the event, I served as point of contact for all vendors and guests. Prior to the event, my responsibilities included (but were not limited to):
Venue Procurement - researching venues that met the celebrant's aesthetic and size, setting up tours for venue viewing, attending venue tours, and executing the contract for the selected venue
Vendor Management - researching and securing contracts for florists, the DJ, photographers, and videographers
Guest List Management - compiling spreadsheets containing guest information such as phone numbers, email addresses, and home addresses
Website Management - creating a website where attendees could view details about the event, confirm or deny their attendance, secure their accommodation, and make their dinner selection
Invitation Management - designing the save the dates and invitations, sending out the save the dates to all attendees, and boxing and sending out the invitations to all attendees
Finance Management - ensuring that all deposits and installments were paid on time to all corresponding vendors
