OpenVC is an all-in-one platform for your fundraising needs, apart from all the other cool features like pitch deck sharing, intro path finder etc they store more than 10,000 investor profiles (increasing every month) in their database. With their rapid growth they noticed one thing :

OpenVC's founder Stephane Nasser hit me up and we had chat regarding redesigning their Investor Profiles and we pinpointed these goals:

The profiles should be the best looking investor profiles on the internet

Every section should be structured according to it's importance

The profiles should serve as a mini website/portfolio for investors so they can proudly share them with their network.

I conducted a detailed research on their competitors for 3 days straight and studied different types of investor profiles and pointed out some good stuff that we can use as an inspiration.

After the research process I spent a lot of time on Figma trying to craft out a rough first iteration and this is how it looked like:

We posted it on socials, gathered some feedback and went on a sprint and didn't look back. The whole wireframe cycle took almost 3 weeks for one single page because the stakes were so high ... remember we were designing this one page but it would be used for 10,000+ investor profiles. This is how my canvas looked like:

We went through 9 different versions for the investor profiles over the course of 3 weeks and this is the version we finalised:

After the wireframes were finalized we still ended up moving some stuff around during the design process and following are the final results:

We were fully satisfied with the results because we achieved all of our goals and this is what the founder had to say:
