The Challenge
Many clients seek trendy prints like Star Maps and Spotify plaques, posing a challenge for small print shops to adapt quickly. We aim to simplify this process with an up-to-date image generation tool, allowing shops to focus on printing.
Scope of Project
The scope included the UI/UX design and basic branding decisions of the platform and building the MLP(Minimum lovable product) of the product, which will require only further tool expansion in the future.

Solution
I aimed for a clean, minimal design highlighting generated images, yet visually appealing for partners showcasing results. Designing screens was challenging, considering potential future tool integrations to avoid later redesign.
Development-wise, we created microservices to generate images based on API requests, a task shared with a co-founder. On the front end, I implemented a system for adjusting image properties and strict security measures to protect images until purchase.
Security was a major challenge. I created middleman APIs to generate quality-reduced, watermarked preview images for partners while storing originals securely until purchase, optimizing file sizes, and implementing database rules for seamless functionality.

Results
We’ve built an MLP which is easily expandable with new tools, offering a straightforward user experience and ready to serve our user persona. The sales figures and feedback from more users are still unknown, to be updated.
My Takeaway
Time management and project prioritization are crucial. Low engagement levels, both from me and my co-founder, prolonged the project, making development not only lengthier but also more challenging due to gaps in continuity.
