Creating a platform to simplify the process of finding and booking leisure activities.

Our goal was to simplify activity booking, creating a platform similar to Booking.com but specifically for hobbies. The main challenge we faced was designing a straightforward booking interface that could accommodate various types of venues and activities.

Creating UI/UX design and developing the MVP of the product. Making sure it is ready for the first sales rounds.

Initially, I focused on designing prototypes in Figma while my partner worked on setting up the backend for the booking system. Uncertain if we could complete the entire idea in one sprint, we divided the work, starting with the booking system and keeping the search functions in mind.

We iterated the booking UI multiple times until we achieved a user-friendly solution that met all our needs. Additionally, we ensured that our partners received a landing page for their services, which would be essential for our aggregator solution. Currently, we have a booking system with a landing page, which has proven to be a valuable proposition for most local businesses.

We’ve built an MVP although not yet for the whole idea, just for the booking part. Our sales pitches are turning out to be successful, once we have a handful of core partners we’ll be able to refine the booking system and start working on the second part of the idea.

This project marks a transition for me. While we addressed some mistakes in development, like splitting the process into two steps to minimize risk, we overlooked market research, relying solely on our experience and intuition to start development.
