This project was a digital renaissance for stonemason Andrea Sorgend's 10-year-old website. The challenge? To bring a basic HTML page into the modern era while maintaining the timeless elegance of stonecraft. This is not a classic WOW Transformation Web design, but also shows the wants and needs from small local businesses that sometimes do not want anything fancy. And that is also totally fine and I am also here for that.
The old site was bare-bones: no SSL, no buttons, no contact form, and so brief you could scroll to the bottom in seconds. It lacked both security and style. Our mission was clear - create a digital space as solid and beautiful as Andrea's stonework.
We crafted a sleek, modern one-pager that captures the essence of Andrea's craft. Custom illustrations now adorn the site, each one tailored to represent different aspects of stonemasonry. These visuals not only beautify the page but also help visitors quickly grasp Andrea's offerings.
Security was a priority. We implemented SSL certification, ensuring visitors can browse and interact with peace of mind. The new "About Me" section builds trust and adds a personal touch, allowing potential clients to connect with Andrea's story and expertise.
Services are now showcased with clarity and style. Easy-to-read descriptions paired with relevant images give visitors a clear understanding of what Andrea offers. The newly added contact page with a form makes reaching out a breeze, potentially increasing client inquiries.
While the design isn't breaking new ground in creativity, it perfectly aligns with the client's vision - simple, elegant, and effective. This project was a reminder that sometimes, the best design is one that serves the client's needs perfectly, even if it's not the most avant-garde.
The result? A website that does justice to Andrea's decade of experience, presenting his stonecraft services in a modern, accessible format. It's a digital transformation that respects tradition while embracing the future - much like the art of stonemasonry itself.
