Research and Insight

Completing a comprehensive site audit, conducting user research, and stakeholder interviews were pivotal in documenting and presenting a UX strategy. These steps allowed for an understanding of the existing challenges and opportunities. Key contributions include:
Identified paint points and created user personas
Developed sitemap and user flows
Defined page template layouts
Outlined content migration strategy and feature specifications

Scalable Design System

The UI Designer and I collaborated closely to finalize the design system, which streamlined our design and development process. By creating and maintaining this system, our development team has been able to efficiently produce user interfaces that are consistent and scalable across both the website and the mobile app and are also aesthetically pleasing. The design system includes:
Color
Typography
Images
Iconography
UI Components

Website Design

We designed visually appealing page template layouts that engage users and also ensure consistency across the website. These templates incorporate modern design and are tailored to enhance readability, usability, and NUSA branding. Page template layouts include:
Homepage: Crafted to immediately engage users, guiding them effortlessly to areas of interest.
Primary page layout: To facilitate straightforward navigation to key site sections, enhancing discoverability.
Secondary page layout: Configured to present detailed content organized by categories.
Basic page layout: Aimed at delivering general information (easiest to customize).
News and Blog page layout: Template for editorial content.
Static page layout: Static design pages, which may incorporate user inputs or information (such as account pages), or dynamic content (like "Take Action" pages).

Mobile Design

The mobile app aligns with the website's adherence to NUSA's branding and design guidelines, ensuring a consistent user experience across platforms. It is specifically tailored to promote user participation in political initiatives. This approach utilizes interactive features, such as gamification, and notifications to encourage active engagement, enabling users to easily get involved directly from their mobile devices. Key contributions include:
Sitemap and optimized user flows
Collaboration with UI designer
Newsfeed design and function
Gamification feature
Design iterations
