Analytics consent is easy to treat as background UI. For Rideaway, I designed and implemented a lightweight animated character that supports the consent prompt without obscuring the choice or adding friction.
The animation gives the banner more personality and draws attention to the moment when a visitor decides whether to allow analytics. Its purpose is not to pressure users, but to make the choice feel noticeable, understandable, and responsive.
My role
Designed the motion concept and character behavior
Prepared the animation for efficient web playback
Integrated it into the live consent banner
Tuned the timing and visual relationship between the animation, message, and actions
Kept the privacy message and both consent options clear
Why it matters
A consent banner is a small surface, but it contributes to the first impression of a product. Thoughtful motion can turn a purely functional interruption into a more human interaction and may encourage visitors to pause and make a conscious choice.
This project demonstrates how I connect interaction design, motion, and front-end implementation in a small but meaningful product detail.
