Rideaway is a sports-tech platform designed to connect people with trusted instructors while helping instructors, schools and clubs manage bookings, schedules, clients and growth.
The product combines two connected experiences: a public marketplace for discovering and booking the right instructor, and a private management platform for sports professionals. Adaptive sports are part of its core rather than a separate initiative, influencing the brand, trust model and product decisions from the beginning.
I have been developing Rideaway since October 2025 as its Co-founder & CCO. I created the name, logo and complete visual identity, shaped the positioning and tone of voice, designed key user journeys and led the design system behind them.
My role also reaches beyond design. I lead go-to-market communication and relationship building, translating conversations with potential users and partners into product and marketing decisions. The work connects business strategy, brand, product experience and implementation in one continuous process.
The challenge
Sports instruction is fragmented. People often discover instructors through recommendations, social media and local communities, then coordinate lessons across messages, calendars and informal payment arrangements. Instructors, schools and clubs need visibility, but also practical tools for requests, schedules, pricing and client relationships.
Rideaway had to serve these audiences without becoming several unrelated products. It also needed to communicate an ambitious vision honestly while still evolving. The challenge was to make the idea understandable, the experience trustworthy and the product scalable.
Marketplace discovery designed around sport, location, credentials and price.
A detailed instructor profile brings identity, credentials, availability and booking into one trust-building experience.
A clear booking flow turns discovery into a specific lesson, date and next step.
One operational workspace for overview, requests and calendar management.
From an idea to a credible brand
I created the Rideaway identity as a bridge between sport, technology and human relationships. It needed energy, but also enough clarity and credibility for decisions involving safety, trust and money.
A shared product system documented through 50+ components, 300 Storybook scenarios and 227 automated tests.
The system covered visual identity, color, typography, positioning, tone of voice and communication for athletes, instructors, schools, clubs and adaptive-sport communities. Its language is concrete, warm and free from startup hype, allowing Rideaway to describe what it is building without presenting planned features as already available.
Collaboration with the Polish Paralympic Committee and PZSN START connected the product to real adaptive-sport communities.
The result is a shared language for the product, marketing and external relationships - not only a logo or visual style.
Turning complexity into clear experiences
I structured the product around two connected modes:
A public marketplace for discovery, comparison, trust and booking.
A private management environment for instructors, schools and clubs.
This keeps customer journeys separate from dense operational workflows while leaving room for people who may use Rideaway in more than one role.
The design work focused on the questions people need answered before they can act: Is this instructor right for my sport and level? Can I trust their experience and availability? What will the lesson cost? Do they understand my equipment, safety or adaptive needs? How can a professional manage requests and existing clients without adding more administrative work?
Those questions shaped instructor cards, detailed profiles, sport-specific offers, reviews, galleries, availability and booking patterns.
Building a system, not isolated screens
Rideaway now has a shared UI Kit with more than 50 reusable components and product patterns, semantic design tokens and a structured Storybook environment covering foundations, marketing and product experiences. The current system is documented through 300 Storybook scenarios and backed by 227 automated tests.
The system supports both public pages and dense management interfaces while keeping one visual language. Realistic states, missing data, responsive behavior and accessibility are reviewed before patterns move into the main application.
This created a clear path from a product decision to a reusable component, composed experience and implementation handoff.
Bringing Rideaway to the market
I shaped the public narrative, landing experience, offer architecture and Polish communication, together with the current English homepage. This included presenting Free and Pro models, designing early-access experiences and creating a transparent value exchange for the first community around the product.
I also developed relationships with instructors, sports organizations, adaptive-sport communities, schools, clubs, media and potential partners. A major external milestone was establishing collaboration with the Polish Paralympic Committee and PZSN START. These relationships strengthened Rideaway's connection to the real needs and standards of adaptive-sport communities.
The outcome
The work established:
one coherent brand and product story across multiple audiences;
a clear relationship between the public marketplace and private management platform;
reusable patterns for discovery, profiles, trust and booking;
an implementation-ready design system with more than 50 shared components;
a public-page system for presenting the product and collecting early interest;
a documented workflow connecting product decisions, design, validation and development;
collaboration with the Polish Paralympic Committee and PZSN START.
Rideaway is still evolving, so I do not present these outcomes as final business metrics. The most important result is a coherent foundation that can be tested, implemented and grown without losing the reasoning behind it.
What this project demonstrates
Rideaway shows how I work across the full early-stage product journey: defining the opportunity, building the brand, designing the experience, creating a scalable system and communicating the product to users and partners.
I am most valuable when a project is still ambiguous and a team needs someone who can connect business goals, brand, product experience and implementation, then stay hands-on long enough to turn that direction into something real.
