As part of Framer’s internal team, I worked as a Template Reviewer, ensuring the quality, performance, and usability of templates published on the Framer Marketplace.
This role combined technical precision with an understanding of design best practices — balancing what makes a template visually appealing with what makes it genuinely functional for users.
Working directly with creators and the internal product team gave me a unique view into how Framer templates are built, optimized, and improved before release.
Objectives
The main goal of this role was to guarantee that every template published in the Marketplace met Framer’s quality standards. That meant reviewing hundreds of templates for structure, responsiveness, animations, CMS setup, and best practices in design and accessibility.
Another objective was to help creators improve their work before publishing, providing constructive feedback on usability, design clarity, and performance. The ultimate goal was to ensure that buyers could trust any template on the platform as a solid, professional foundation for their projects.
Process / Collaboration
Every review started with a deep dive into the template structure, testing across devices and screen sizes. I would then document findings and share feedback directly with the creator, sometimes through asynchronous comments and sometimes in collaborative sessions.
I also collaborated with Framer’s internal product and community teams to ensure consistency in guidelines, helping refine the criteria for approval as the Marketplace evolved. The process required balancing empathy with precision — providing detailed feedback that improved the creator’s work without discouraging creativity.
Outcome / Results
Working as a Template Reviewer allowed me to contribute directly to the growth and reliability of the Framer ecosystem. I helped ensure that the Marketplace became a trusted place for designers and developers to find professional-grade resources.
This experience strengthened my eye for detail, my understanding of scalable design systems, and my ability to evaluate both the technical and visual sides of a Framer project.
It also gave me a clear sense of how to create templates that meet real-world needs and pass Framer’s internal standards — knowledge I now apply to my own projects and client work
