Makrooptiki - Conversion-focused website for a career guidance & counseling service

Overview

Makrooptiki is a Greek career guidance company offering counseling services to teenagers and young adults navigating educational and career decisions. I designed the website with a clear objective: communicate trust and clarity to both students and parents, while guiding visitors toward understanding services and booking sessions.

My Role

UX & UI design
Information architecture & content hierarchy
Responsive design for all devices
SEO-focused structure and page logic

Challenges

Career guidance services rely heavily on trust, reassurance, and clear communication. The website needed to:
Speak to a young audience without losing credibility
Provide parents with confidence and clarity
Present sessions and packages in a simple, structured way
Encourage engagement and inquiries without pressure
The challenge was balancing a calm, professional tone with a youthful and approachable feel, while maintaining strong usability and conversion logic.

Strategy & Key Decisions

Clarity-first structure The website was structured so users can quickly understand who the service is for, how sessions work, and what outcomes to expect.
Trust-driven design A calm color palette, clear typography, and friendly visual language were used to build credibility and emotional safety for both students and parents.
Conversion-oriented UX Navigation and page layouts were designed to reduce friction, guide users intuitively, and support user retention and inquiries.
SEO built into the design SEO best practices were incorporated from the start, including content hierarchy, metadata structure, alt text, and schema considerations.

Challenges Addressed

Designing multiple responsive screens per page without overwhelming users
Ensuring intuitive navigation across a high-information website
Maintaining a playful yet professional tone appropriate for sensitive decision-making

The Outcome

The result is a clean, responsive, and conversion-ready website that:
Communicates Makrooptiki’s values and approach clearly
Makes it easy for users to understand services and packages
Supports engagement through simplicity and strong UX foundations
The website now serves as a trusted digital touchpoint for young people and families seeking guidance during critical career decisions.
