Overview

As part of the Dreams x Team GB & ParalympicsGB partnership, the business wanted to create an engaging omnichannel campaign to promote support for the Paris 2024 Olympics, to not only customers, but the rest of the company too.
Building upon the existing assets for stores, I worked with Internal Communications and the CMO to produce social posts, a motion graphic for internal screens around the business, a selfie frame, a supporting note (to be given out with a gift and The BedPost to all colleagues), teams backgrounds, printed banners, profile picture frames, and LinkedIn assets. I had to work closely with the British Olympic Association to ensure their guidelines had been followed closely before rolling out the assets.

Approach

We used the colours from the Olympic rings alongside brightened-up versions of the Dreams brand colours to invoke a feeling of unity between both brand identities. This was supported by pattern overlay to make the designs more dynamic and add movement.
When working on the motion design, I rendered the fabric background purely in After Effects using a vertical ripple effect, threads and a displacement map. Rendering with AE allows for granular control over the movement as opposed to what would be possible when using video of real fabric. The campaign was a huge success and one of my favourites to date 🏅
