The Locket Project: A Healing Talsiman

Kate Ellen

Product Design | The Locket Project

The Locket Project emerged as my most personal design undertaking within Crown Nine—a specialized initiative created to honor reproductive loss through meaningful ritual and adornment.
I developed this concept from initial sketch to fully realized experience, crafting not just a physical product but an entire healing ecosystem. My role spanned designing the locket itself, directing emotional photography and video content, hand-creating ceremonial packaging, and developing accessible payment options to ensure this healing tool reached those who needed it most.
By intentionally interweaving product design with emotional storytelling across email series, Instagram content, and direct community engagement, I created an experience that honored the complexity of reproductive loss while empowering individuals to reclaim their narratives through ritual and meaningful adornment.
Video production and editing in collaboration with Brian Poppelwell.
