Social Media, Email Marketing & Ad Campaigns for an E-Commerce Sustainability Brand

OffGrid Living Solutions is an e-commerce company selling premium solar generators, saunas, hot tubs, hydroponic gardens, outdoor cooking equipment, and everything in between for sustainable, off-grid living. They carry 600+ products from brands like EcoFlow, Bluetti, SaunaLife, and more, and serve customers across the US. Their tagline: "Thrive off the grid, live in wellness."
OLS had the products and the website, but no marketing engine behind it. Social media was nearly inactive — Facebook had minimal reach and Instagram was sitting at 51 reach in December 2023. There were no ad campaigns running, no email marketing system, and no content strategy to drive traffic or capture leads. They needed someone to build the full digital marketing system from scratch.
What I Did
Social Media Campaigns (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) Created and executed monthly content calendars across all three platforms for six consecutive months. Produced graphics, reels, TikTok videos, and engagement content tailored to five distinct audience segments: Green Growers, Outdoor Lovers, Health Fanatics, Retreat Experience Owners, and Solar Enthusiasts.
Ad Campaigns (Facebook Lead Gen & Conversion) Ran multiple Facebook ad campaigns targeting segmented audiences. Tested conversion/sales ads and lead generation ads across different audience groups, optimizing spend and creative based on weekly sprint testing. Stopped underperforming campaigns quickly and reallocated budget to what worked.
Website Landing Pages & Downloadable Guides Built dedicated landing pages for each audience segment and created five downloadable lead magnets — one for each niche — to capture leads and feed into email sequences.
Email Marketing (Klaviyo) Set up full email flows in Klaviyo for each audience segment, including flows for Facebook lead gen campaigns and website opt-ins. This created an automated nurture system that followed up with every lead.
Blog Content Published and drafted blog posts covering topics like hydroponic gardening, sauna health benefits, solar generator reviews, and retreat property essentials — all designed to drive organic traffic and support the ad strategy.
Results (6-Month Period, December 2023 – May 2024)
Facebook:
580,000 total reach (up from 2,400 in December to 211,500 in May)
75.4% increase in overall reach
11,280 total link clicks (up 165.9%)
2,229 total engagements
Peak month: May with 211,500 reach and 3,700 link clicks
Instagram:
49,300+ total reach (up from 51 in December to 13,500 in May)
1,208 total engagements (up 15.4%)
1,156 total link clicks (up 60.6%)
Grew to 364 followers
TikTok (launched April 2024):
6,147 video views in first two months (+1,845% vs. prior period)
1,333% increase in profile views
8,300% increase in likes
