As the social media manager for Saturday Donation Day, I led an impactful campaign that united the San Diego community in embracing the spirit of Giving Tuesday and Toy Drive. Our initial goal was to raise $10,000, but thanks to the overwhelming support and generosity of local residents, we managed to collect over $25,000 in donations within just 2 months.
My role involved creating and implementing a strategic social media plan that effectively promoted the initiative, engaged the community, and encouraged participation. Through captivating content, targeted outreach, and fostering meaningful connections online, the campaign gained significant traction and successfully showcased the power of collective giving. This experience not only demonstrated my ability to manage a successful social media campaign but also highlighted the importance of community engagement and the potential for making a substantial difference in people's lives.
