Revamping Listn's Social Media Presence

About the Project

Listn is a data-driven platform built by music-industry insiders to bring transparency and performance analytics to artist promotion. When I joined, the goal was clear: transform their social media presence into a credible, high-engagement space that attracts independent labels, creators, and distributors.

The Challenge

Listn had the product, partnerships, and credibility: but not the voice. Their social presence wasn’t communicating the sophistication behind the platform. There was no consistent tone, no storytelling that spoke to their core audience of labels, artists, and distributors. My role was to turn that around and make Listn’s content feel like it came straight from insiders who actually get the music business.

The Strategy

I focused on making Listn sound like what it truly is: the music industry’s transparent, data-obsessed insider. The new approach combined educational storytelling with real campaign data and behind-the-scenes insights that gave audiences something worth saving and sharing. We replaced generic visuals with bold, minimalist statements and structured carousels that highlighted how Listn’s platform delivers measurable results for artists and labels alike. The goal: position them as the data-driven voice of the independent music industry.

The Execution

Over one month, I managed and produced all content for LinkedIn and Instagram:
Built weekly content calendars with consistent posting cadence.
Wrote and designed carousels, static posts, and event pieces.
Coordinated cross-channel storytelling between company and team profiles.
Delivered monthly reports with detailed insights and strategy adjustments.
The tone was clear, confident, and unfiltered = a reflection of Listn’s own founders and audience.

The Results

Within just one month, Listn’s social media presence multiplied its reach and engagement dramatically. The audience grew several times faster than the previous month, while post visibility and reactions skyrocketed, with standout spikes after high-value posts like Meet Jeff and Still buying into these lies?
The brand went from minimal activity to a steady flow of organic engagement, with most of it coming from new audiences discovering Listn for the first time. Case-study posts, contrarian takes, and bold data-driven content became the top-performing formats, driving strong saves, shares, and profile visits.
In short: the audience started listening and talking back.

The Impact

Listn went from being a silent platform to a recognised voice in music tech. The feed became a hub for conversation, not just announcements. Brands and professionals started engaging organically, resharing posts, and quoting Listn’s insights.
By focusing on substance, credibility, and bold storytelling, the brand now holds a distinct position in the music marketing landscape — the one that tells it like it is.
